Are you accepting new clients?
Yes. I am currently accepting new clients, though availability is limited. I invite you to reach out to discuss current opening times and schedule an initial consultation.
How long are therapy sessions?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes.
Couples and group sessions are 75 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
I am in-network with Lyra for individual consultation.
For all other insurance plans, I am an out-of-network provider. You will be responsible for the session fee at the time of service.
Can I get reimbursed by my insurance?
Yes, potentially. If your health plan includes out-of-network benefits, I can provide a statement called a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential partial reimbursement.
I recommend contacting your insurance provider prior to our first appointment to ask:
Does my plan cover out-of-network outpatient mental health (CPT code 90837)?
What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
What is your approach to therapy?
My practice integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and evidence-based lifestyle medicine.
Therapy is a process of bringing awareness to implicit patterns, helping you gain deep self-understanding while empowering you to take intentional action. Rather than avoiding difficult emotions or falling into cycles of self-blame, we work together to build emotional resilience and face challenges with curiosity.
My approach is collaborative and solution-focused. The goal is not to stay in therapy indefinitely, but to equip you with practical tools and insights so you can navigate life's transitions with confidence and long-term independence.
What is expected of me as a client?
Therapy is most effective when viewed as an active partnership. You bring your lived experience and commitment to growth; I bring clinical frameworks and guidance.
You will get the most out of our work if you are open to self-reflection, willing to explore new perspectives, and engaged in practicing strategies between sessions. Real-world application—trying out tools, refining daily habits, and observing your responses—is where meaningful, lasting change happens.
Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes. I provide secure online video therapy to adults residing anywhere in California, as well as in-person sessions in Palo Alto. Telehealth offers flexibility and accessibility while maintaining strict confidentiality standards through a HIPAA-compliant video platform.
Do you provide letters for FMLA, Emotional Support Animals (ESA), or disability claims for anxiety or depression?
No. I do not provide evaluation, documentation, or legal support for FMLA, Emotional Support Animals (ESA), disability claims, or court proceedings. My practice is strictly focused on clinical psychotherapy, and maintaining this boundary ensures our work remains entirely dedicated to your therapeutic goals.
